Cozy Mysteries with Sleuthing Dragons are Here!!
Hello Everyone,
Hoorah! We’ve finally made it to Release Day for Hoard It All Before!
What does this mean for you?
Um, me splattering the Blogosphere for the next week with silly (and hopefully entertaining) stuff about the book, its beginnings, its characters, and its swear words…yes, its swear words.
Oh, besides that?
Well…
- If you pre-ordered the ebook, some clever little gnomes should have placed it on your e-reading device or app sometime in the night (which sounds creepy, but it’s really not).**
- And if you’ve been waiting to grab your ebook or paperback, today’s the day and I’ve got all the details you’ll need to do just that.
**Note: If you pre-ordered from Amazon and have already downloaded your copy, please do go into your account to get the most up-to-date file (an eagle-eyed reviewer found a small number of teeny-tiny mistakes.) If you ordered from other retailers, you will have received the corrected version.
To Start Off the Release Party…
i have to offer up a big ol’ THANK YOU to my review team for jumping right into this book. I didn’t put any deadline on getting reviews in, so it was really encouraging to see how fast some of you devoured the story.
And it was especially encouraging that you didn’t hate it (or if you did, you kept that to yourself).
New series always leave me fretting…will readers like the new characters, will my dumb jokes fall flat, does the story make any sense whatsoever, and on and on.
But apparently this start to the new series wasn’t too bad because some of the wonderful comments about the book so far have included…
“I loved it.”
“Once I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down…it was that good!”
“Light and fanciful with a darn good mystery woven in. What fun!”
“An enjoyable read…the dragon, Duncan…is such a quirky character.”

On a budget?
You can always read Hoard It All Before for free if you simply ask your local library to purchase a copy — either in ebook or paperback format.
Don’t be shy about this.
Most libraries LOVE keeping their patrons happy and it’s a great way to help Duncan spread his wings.
Want to support your local bookstores?
You can do exactly that by popping in and requesting a paperback directly or by zipping on over to Hoard’s page on Bookshop.org and local bookstores will get a nice little portion of the sale.
(I’ll share a bit more on this as soon as the Book Launch madness is over with.)
About the Book
Like any traveling circus, Zin’s has hair-raising acts and fried food on sticks.
But it’s also got an aura-spotting centaur, a chain-smoking unicorn, and an omelet-addicted dragon.
Oh, and a body in the center ring.
Duncan — aka “Brutus Fangwrath, Deadliest Dragon in the West” — wakes one morning to find his best friend isn’t just sleeping off a hangover. He’s been murdered.
Suspicion for the crime quickly turns to the circus’s new hire, Cordelia Quinn. After all, she’s got motive, she got means, and she’s got loads of circumstantial evidence stacked against her.
When it looks like no one else is going to step in to help Cordelia, it’s up to Duncan to unravel the case, prove Cordelia’s innocence, and uncover a troubling secret along the way.
As soon as he’s done with his omelet, that is.
Set in a 1930s that’s just a tad different than what you’re used to, Hoard it all Before is the start of a delightfully humorous mystery series with plenty of tantalizing twists, a troupe of quirky characters, and death-defying feats both in and beyond the big top.

More Dragon-y Fun is Coming Soon
Tipping the Scales (#2) launches on 7 June 2022 – In this second installment of the humorous mystery series tempers and omelets are sizzling, the clues are troublesome, and the twists have nothing do with the Flying Flynns’ trapeze act. And of course, the fedoras are sparkly.
Fangs a Million (#3) is expected Fall 2022 – I’m still working on this one, but so far it involves booze-smuggling, dragon matchmaking, and pink unicorns.
Congratulations on your new release! Doing a happy dance for ya!
Do you mind if I share this post?

Happy dance? Pour moi? Merci!! At least someone’s doing one…I’m so lackluster about this launch, ugh.
Anyway, yes, feel free to share with as many eyeballs as you like. Thanks : )

Of course! I’ve been a bit happy dancy all day actually, so it’s a good outlet for that squirrel energy. 🙂
