Hello Again Bloglandia!
Yes, I did have to look up a bit of Australian slang to come up with that title. Seriously, the land down under has some of the best slang in the world!
But Australian slang is not the topic of this post…I know, so disappointing. I’m actually just popping in here to share with you another amazing review from the Blogosphere for The Undead Mr. Tenpenny (the first book in my Cassie Black Trilogy, in case you’re new here).
The review comes from Australian artist extraordinaire, Anne Lawson. If that name sounds familiar, Anne also served as an excellent guinea pig to test out my new print distribution through Draft2Digital.
As part of the experiment, Anne bravely took the book’s ISBN to her local bookstore (Anne is a real hero supporting both an indie author AND a local business!). Then the bookstore worked their magic to get the book into Anne’s eager hands.
And it turns out she loved it!! So much so that she shared it on her blog, where it has generated many MANY comments from folks showing their interest in the book thanks to Anne’s kind words. (comments I really need to get to…oops!)
I encourage you to check out the review, then have a wander around Anne’s site to gander at some of her lovely artwork.
Again, I’ve done something to anger the WordPress gods, and I can’t seem to repost like a normal human being, so I’ve given you a little teaser of Anne’s post below and a link to find the rest!
Happy reading, and happy art browsing!!
And many thanks to Anne!!!

The Undead Mr Tenpenny
That’s the title of a very entertaining book by my bloggy friend, Tammie Painter. It is Book One in her Cassie Black trilogy. Part of the blurb on the back of the book says:
“Cassie Black works as a funeral home. She’s used to all manner of dead bodies. What she is not used to is them waking up. Which they seem to be doing on a disturbingly regular basis lately.
“Just when Cassie believes she has the problem under control, the recently-deceased Busby Tenpenny insists he’s been murdered and claims Cassie might be responsible thanks to a wicked brand of magic she has been exposed to.”
From there the story rollicks along with Cassie trying desperately to solve the murder, learn how to control her own untapped, unwanted magic and stop her boss’s funeral parlour from being shut down. Oh, and deal with a powerful, evil magician.
I was quite charmed by this book….
