As I announced on Wednesday, it’s book release time again and that means the Beasties are offering up a little bit of congratulations once again!!
Okay, I’d like to believe Tammie and David Beastie are doing this because they’re eager to support my efforts as an indie writer, but I think it’s more about them getting a huge dose of cake-y goodness every four weeks.
But since I love a nice hunk of cake myself, I’m not going to argue with their sugary mode of celebration. And if you look in the background, you’ll see they really put in the effort to throw a party by doing a photo shoot in the snow! Brrrrr!!!!

Yes, Old Man Winter was very, very late this year and I thought we might avoid him altogether, but he’s suddenly decided to show up and now, like that party guest we all despise, he won’t leave!!
But wait, where’s Finn McSpool? Hmmm…..Why whenever I ask that question, do I fear the answer?
—Finn? Finn? Oh no… Finn, what in the world are you doing?
—I’m a centaur!
—I don’t think that’s how it works.
—Horse’s body, Beastie head, where’s the problem?
—I don’t think centaurs have stumpy little Beastie legs hanging down from their necks.
—The Greeks just missed that part in their art. Can I have a role in the Domna movie?
—Um, well, ummm….hey, Finn, did you see the cake—
—OMG!! There’s cake!!??? Get me off of this thing!!!
Thus proving any problem can be solved as long as you have enough chocolate and frosting to go around.

The transformation is SO believable, isn’t it? I think Finn might have a future as a costume designer…a very short future!! Thanks for dropping by and glad you got a smile out of it!!

I did wonder if there were centaur tracks on the snow….I haven’t got to part 6 in my omnibus hard copy of Domna, but I am enjoying it immensely 😄

Well, he gets points for trying. As for the snow, ice, and other stupid wintry weather, I think we have finally seen the backside of it and spring is back on track :))

Hahaha! 😂😂😂 Good effort, Finn! Does that make him a Finntaur, then? 🤔 And eeeek, look at that snow! Looks like we’re not the only ones suffering the late arrival of winter… I bet your Beasties are glad of their woollies just now! Stay toasty, everyone!

You know, the Greeks came up with some weird mythological creatures, but I don’t think they could have ever envisioned the Finntaur….nor should anyone else!! And I think we might have finally given that jerk face Old Man Winter a kick in the pants because we’ve got a string of warm sunny days in the forecast…time to throw off the woolies!

Hurrah! I’m glad Old Man Winter finally took the hint… Although I suspect your garden is about to be overrun with scantily-clad Beasties and the occasional Finntaur!
