Yep, the hands of the book release clock have swung around yet again, which means it’s time for Part Three of Domna! And in this part we finally get to hang out with some centaurs!
First off, let me thank everyone who pre-ordered a copy of the book — you helped me more than double the pre-orders from Part Two which absolutely astounded and delighted me!!
This shortest part of the serialized novel picks up with Sofia and Sirius eager to finish up their time in Colchis after Sirius’s verbal blunder at the end of Part Two. They then head to Sirius’s farmstead to lay low from the troubles in Portaceae City, but things don’t stay quiet for long.
Domna, Part Three: The Centaur’s Gamble truly sees Sofia gaining her stride as she tries to find a balance between wanting to stay safe and yearning for greatness. I hope you enjoy it and that it leaves you eager for Part Four: The Regent’s Edict in which things take a turn for the worst for those Sofia holds most dear.
But before you start clamoring for Part Four, let’s take a quick look at the description and limited time special for Part Three…
The Description
In a world mired in chaos, one wrong word could mean death, but one promise could mean greatness.
After barely surviving his previous appointment, Sirius claims being forgotten may be the safest place in the violent turbulence of Osterian politics. But Sofia’s ambitions remain steadfast and she refuses to accept the gods have destined her to waste away in obscurity.
Just as Sirius settles into the peace of a rural life, an old friend offers him the chance to inherit the title of Solon if he’s willing to fight for it. Will Sirius take the chance, or will he opt to stay safe? More importantly, will Sofia let him have a choice in the matter?
Set in a world full of political turmoil and violent ambition, Domna is a six-part serialized novel that tells the tale of Sofia Domna. As Sofia’s life moves through the trials of a forced marriage, motherhood, and yearning temptation, she learns that destiny isn’t given; it’s made by cunning, endurance, and, at times, bloodshed.

Woohooo! Congratulations on your latest round of excellent numbers! And this seems an apt time to say that my Domna Complete Series super-tome has been providing me with literary entertainment/distractions from the work I should be doing these past few days. The number of times I’ve caught myself saying “aaaaah, just one more chapter!” Keep up the good work! 😁

Aww, thanks! You can always use the excuse that you’re not really wasting time reading, you’re doing a strength workout just by lifting that super-tome. It’s not procrastination, it’s a fitness regime :))

I’ll take it! I thought my arms were looking more toned 😁 Also, thanks to your awesome idea of releasing all of “Domna” as one volume, I’m already dipping my toes into Part Four!

If nothing else I can market the book as a weight loss product (probably a better strategy anyway). As for the whole volume, glad you like it, and believe me, I am regretting doing quite so many parts. So many releases…ugh. Oh, but wait, CAKE!!

Ooops, there’s a rogue comment that I nearly missed! Cake is always good… I’m sure it makes those multiple installment releases easier. That said, I would have gone CRAZY if I’d had to wait for parts 4-6 to land!

Yeah, well those little woolly jerks failed to bring me cake for Part Four!!

Okay, so we won’t talk about the bag of salad they left me…

Eeeeek! I can only apologise… Where on earth did they get the impression that humans celebrate ANYTHING with salad? 😆

I blame it on all the gardens they like to explore. They need to learn the plants are only for gazing at, not for eating. Unless it’s sugar cane or cocoa beans.
