Hello Blogland!

Although I have been up to my neck with writing work and next week I’ll have some VERY exciting news to share with you, this week I simply can’t squeeze anything out of my head to share with you. Instead, I’ve done some deep research (okay, it was ten minutes on Google) to bring you another round of humor related to the Osteria Chronicles, the historical fantasy series that brings Greek myths to life as you’ve never seen them before.

We’ll start off with a little mythological pun…

And where’s there’s Hera, you have to have Zeus…

Many of you may have figured out that Hermes is my favorite of the gods in the series (excuse the copyright)…

Messenger of the gods in the digital age.

And Achilles – with his being tied to his mom’s apron strings – is just begging to be made fun of…

Speaking of footwear….

Medusa, who’ll you’ll see in the upcoming Bonds of Osteria (Book Four), seems to be a favorite of many comic artists….

Since Books Five and Six will be based heavily on Homer’s works, I had to throw this one in…

And why not a bit of everyone’s favorite mutt, Cerberus…well, sort of…actually, this looks even more vicious than my fictitious Cerberus.

And finally, well, I don’t really know what’s going on here, but it’s pretty damn funny nonetheless….

By the way, if you want to read an expose on the truth about unicorns – or at least creepy guys who write about unicorns – I highly recommend heading over to Daze and Weekes’ post “Unicorn Horn” to get the scoop on these creatures. You will never think of honey in the same way again.

How about you? Know any good mythology-based jokes? How has your week been?ย

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope this gave you a little chuckle!! As long as I stick to my writing guns over the next several days, I’ll be back next Wednesday with a super fantabulous writing update!! See you then.

  1. Hahaha what the hell is that pink winged and horned llama?!?!! She’s fabulous! I’m looking forward to the ‘exciting’ news next week…

Thank you for the shoutout! It’s good that we continue to get the word out about these beasts and their sexy ways.

    1. I have no idea what that is. A Llama-unicornsus? Uni-pegama? Whatever it is, I want one! And yes, everyone needs to be warned about those randy unicorns and their honey-licking perversions.

  2. Yaaaaay! Osterian funnies! Nice to see Medusa has a sense of humour, and Cerby might have a rival for my affections in the llama-corn… That is AMAZING. Hey, maybe it’s a vicuรฑa-corn? ๐Ÿ˜œ
Ahem. Anyway… Thanks for the lunchtime chuckle, and I’m excited to see what news you have for us next week! ๐Ÿ˜€

    1. Oh look at you with your knowledge of all thing camelid! I do agree that the pink llama/mythological mash up takes the cake (with sprinkles) on this post. Now here’s hoping I can pull off what I’m trying to accomplish for next week’s post. ๐Ÿ˜‰

      1. Hahaha! Yeah, knitters love camelids. Someday perhaps I will get to keep my own, and I’ll definitely be looking out for some of these pink sparkly ones to enhance my breedstock! Good luck this week!

      2. Hey, you know alpacas don’t need a lot of living space, I’m sure one could sleep nicely on your couch and then go for walks with you. And I think if you visit New Orleans around Mardi Gras time, you might just find a pink sparkly one lookin for a new home :))
